Powerbuilt Tools Ruapuna Park
The only South Island circuit on the 2012 V8SuperTourers calendar, Powerbuilt Tools Raceway Ruapuna Park is set 20 minutes west of Christchurch central.
Set on a flat, river stone base, the series of turns that comprise the 3.3km multi-configuration circuit make it a very technical track. Rewarding for the precise and patient driver, it has many passing opportunities and great viewing for spectators.
The first circuit in New Zealand to have full-length pit lane garaging, the venue is one of earliest dedicated to motor racing, with the Canterbury Car Club first established in 1946.
The track is home to V8SuperTourer drivers Andy Knight, Eddie Bell and student Richard Moore.
